Tennis and padel clubs, gyms, associations, leisure centres: the same problem comes back, the problem of the slot. Who books, who pays, who turns up. We work with Les Pyramides, a private multi-activity club in Le Port-Marly, for whom we built the members-only online childcare booking. We are also building Rackts, a racket-sports platform that has not launched yet: we know the field from the inside, and we say so rather than presenting it as a delivered reference.
Four situations we find at the clubs and centres that contact us.
The 7 p.m. court is booked twice, the 2 p.m. one stays empty because nobody saw it free up. Reception spends the day on the phone instead of welcoming people. An online schedule, visible to members and editable by reception, solves it in the first week.
Subscriptions, medical certificates, licences, reminders: it all sits in one file two people edit at the same time. At the start of the season, nobody knows who is up to date. A member database with online payment and automatic reminders replaces the spreadsheet and the manual chasing.
A slot booked but unpaid is a lost slot when the person does not turn up. Payment at booking, through Stripe, cuts no-shows and frees reception from the till.
“Beginner padel lessons Paris 15”, “indoor tennis court hire”: those searches each deserve a page, with the hours, the prices and the booking button. A site that only tells the club’s story is found by nobody.
